The idea

The names given to the various Lamborghini models are derived from the Spanish bullfight: Reventon, a fighting bull that killed the renowned Torero Félix Guzmán in 1943; Murciélago was a bull of the same name bred by Joaquín del Val de Navarra. A Lamborghini model also bears the name of the famous fighting bull breeder Don Eduardo Miura. Nothing fits more aptly than the Spanish term for bullfight "corrida de torro" to describe such a superb event the "Corrida de Lamborghini".

In a Spanish bullfight, the Corrida (Spanish: "race"), the bullfighter is named Torero (from ,Toro, "bull"). Similar to a Toreros every Lamborghini driver must be capable of taming the enormous power of their bull which always exceeds the 500 hp mark.

The bullfight is held in a bullfighting arena (Plaza de Toros), the majority of which are used exclusively for this purpose. The Salzburgring and its picturesque landscape and surroundings are the ideal arena to stage the Corrida de Lamborghini.

However, the essential element of the bullfight is the choreography which accompanies the ritual. A comprehensive and entertaining support program combined with professional hospitality should justify both the reputation of the bull and the expectations of every visitor attending the Corrida de Lamborghini.

In September 2010 every Lamborghini will converge on the Salzburgring. There is not only the opportunity to enjoy the uniquely picturesque landscape while touring through the East Alps with like-minded aficionados but also the possibility to tame your bull on the race track. An event of another dimension culminating in the bull fight.
